Roast chicken with chicken tallow

Using our chicken tallow, you can baste your chicken before roasting to give extra depth, and crunchy skin for those who love to eat it.

Make a roast chicken for all the family, add chicken tallow and chicken broth seasoning for extra flavour.

Instructions

  1. Turn the oven on to 180 degrees C, 170 degrees C if you have a fan oven.
  2. Take all the plastic away from your whole chicken.
  3. Using the chicken tallow, spread on to the skin over the whole chicken the tallow.
  4. Then sprinkle our chicken broth seasoning over the chicken.
  5. Slice up a lemon and place the lemon slices over the chicken, squeeze some juice from the ends of the lemons on to the chicken.
  6. Cover the chicken with foil.
  7. Roast in the oven for 90 minutes.
  8. When cooked, prick the chicken to make sure the fluid runs clear, if clear then the chicken is ready.
  9. Leave to cool for 30 minutes before pulling apart.
  10. Serve with roast vegetables and chicken broth gravy.
