Bone broth rice

Using broth instead of water for your rice helps to give your rice a nice protein boost. In a typical 100g of rice you will only find 2-3g of protein, but when adding our bone broth, you can give it a boost to 12g of protein

Instructions

  1. Pour out 400ml of hot water into a jug
  2. Add in 2-3 teaspoons of our dehydrated beef broth, stir well with a fork.
  3. Add to a saucepan and turn the heat on high and bring to the boil.
  4. In the meantime, wash 250g of basmati rice under the tap and in a sieve.
  5. Then add your washed rice to the boiling broth.
  6. Turn down the heat, stir the rice into the water and cover with a lid leaving a slight gap to allow the steam to escape a little.
  7. Regularly stir the rice in the broth.
  8. After 8 minutes, all the broth should have been absorbed by the rice. Periodically check, as sometimes the broth can be absorbed quicker. Avoid burning on the bottom, by stirring regularly.
  9. Add to a bowl and serve with a meal or on it’s own.
