1. What SPF is your sunscreen?

Our Tallow Sunscreen is SPF 30 and has been independently tested to meet UK and EU sunscreen regulations.

2. What provides the sun protection in your sunscreen?

We use non-nano zinc oxide as the active mineral ingredient.

Non-nano zinc oxide sits on the surface of the skin, where it helps protect against UV rays by reflecting, scattering and absorbing UV radiation, rather than relying on organic chemical UV filters.

3. What is non-nano zinc oxide?

Non-nano means the zinc oxide particles are larger than 100 nanometres. These larger particles remain on the surface of the skin, where they provide mineral sun protection.

4. Will the tallow burn in the sun?

No.

The tallow itself does not provide the sun protection—the non-nano zinc oxide does. The grass-fed beef tallow acts as a nourishing base, helping the sunscreen spread evenly across the skin while supporting the product's texture.

5. Is your sunscreen water resistant?

Yes. Our sunscreen offers water-resistant protection, but we always recommend reapplying after swimming, towel drying or excessive sweating to maintain the level of protection.

6. Will the sunscreen leave a white cast?

Because we use mineral non-nano zinc oxide, you may notice a slight white cast when first applied.

Massage the sunscreen thoroughly into the skin to help it blend in. A visible white cast can also act as a reminder of where sunscreen has been applied. If sunscreen is removed by rubbing with a towel or clothing, protection may be reduced, so it's important to reapply when needed.

7. How much sunscreen should I apply?

A little goes a long way.

Our sunscreen is highly concentrated, so start with a small amount and build up as needed to achieve an even layer over all exposed skin. Reapply regularly, especially after swimming, sweating or towel drying.

8. How should I store the sunscreen?

Store your sunscreen in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Avoid leaving it in hot cars or exposed to prolonged heat, as high temperatures can affect the texture of natural ingredients.
