Bone Broth Bolognese

TIPS

You can serve it with pasta, although pasta contains gluten so if you are gluten-conscious, then serve this with quinoa and salad. It’s delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 500g turkey mince
  • 150g smoked bacon cut into smaller pieces
  • 400ml Boil and Broth beef broth
  • 1/2 broccoli chopped
  • 1 red pepper chopped
  • 2 small brown onions chopped​
  • 100g tomato puree
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp pepper

Method

  1. In a wok heat the olive oil until melted, then add the turkey mince and bacon. Cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Add broccoli, red pepper and onions to the wok, stir and continue to cook on medium further 3 minutes.
  3. Add the bone broth and tomato puree. Stir together. Cover and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Checking and occasionally stirring.
  4. Add the cayenne, paprika and pepper. Stir together and cook for a further 2 minutes.

Serve with quinoa and spinach.
